This authentic Model 1840 Musician’s Sword is a fine example of Civil War-era military gear and is in nice overall condition. The blade shows an attractive dark patina consistent with its age, adding to its character and historical appeal.
One side of the blade is clearly marked “Horstmann Phila.”, denoting manufacture by the well-known military outfitter Horstmann of Philadelphia. The blade measures 28 1/4 inches in length and remains solid and intact, making it a standout collectible.
