Original 1907 Lee Enfield Bayonet – Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd, Pall Mall – WWI SMLE
This is an authentic 1907 pattern bayonet for the No.1 SMLE rifle, produced during World War I by the renowned Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd of Pall Mall, London.
This example is stamped with both “Wilkinson” and “Pall Mall”, a harder-to-find combination that adds collectible value. Wilkinson, one of Britain’s most respected blade manufacturers, held official Army contracts during the Great War and delivered bayonets of exceptional quality.
Blade: Full-length, with crisp lines and visible stampings
Markings: Clearly marked “Wilkinson” and “Pall Mall” – the latter referring to their historic address at 53 Pall Mall, London S.W.1
Grips: Wood appears to have been lightly refinished at some point, though it retains a clean and solid appearance
Spring catch: Functional and in good working condition, locks firmly to a rifle
This is a solid example of a WWI British bayonet, ideal for collectors, military historians, or SMLE enthusiasts. Its rarer Pall Mall marking sets it apart from more common variants, making it a valuable addition to any collection.
