French cartridge belly box “Revolutionary War era”

Revolutionary War era French cartridge belly box. Most of the time this would have been carried by light infantry on either side of the stomach. The wads inside the cartridge date the box to the Revolutionary War or Napoleonic War era. The box itself has seen a lot of action. It is missing the top of the cartridge box and leather has cracked it places. This would be a beautiful Revolutionary War piece at a great price.
