About General Lloyd Tilghman:
Lloyd Tilghman (1816–1863) was a Confederate general during the American Civil War, best known for his leadership at the Battle of Fort Henry in 1862. A former U.S. Army officer, Tilghman joined the Confederacy at the outbreak of the war and quickly rose to prominence for his military skill. Despite being captured at Fort Henry, his dedication to the Southern cause remained strong until his tragic death at the Battle of Champion Hill in 1863. This card honors his legacy as a respected figure in Confederate military history.
