Pre Civil War Carbine *1840’s*
This pre Civil War carbine is an interesting find. The gun has a very similar look to the P53 cavalry carbine that would later be used in the Civil War. Short barrel and has a stamping on the lock plate that says “—— warranted” This carbine also has the Ram rod that is attached to the gun. This carbine came out of an estate in Virginia and is a nice example of carbines from this time.
