Civil War Period .44 Caliber Cap & Ball Double Barrel Steel Frame Pistol – Antique Hand Cannon

$400.00

Civil War Period .44 Caliber Cap & Ball Double Barrel Steel Frame Pistol – Antique Hand Cannon!

This is a powerful and classic Civil War period double-barrel cap and ball pistol, approximately .44 caliber, with a solid steel frame and plain wood grips. A true "hand cannon" of its time, this model features dual independent triggersand is a functioning display piece, despite having damage to both hammers (one includes the broken-off piece).

The pistol has matching numbers (see photos), a sign of authenticity, and shows mild surface pitting consistent with age. The wood grips are slightly worn but remain attractive. This is the standard version, not a reproduction—many such European-made firearms were imported to the U.S. before and during the Civil War for use in the conflict.

Whether you're a collector of antique firearms or Civil War memorabilia, this is a standout piece—a classic and functional example of mid-19th century weaponry.
