1873 Model Trapdoor Rifle w/bayonet 45-70
U.S. Springfield model 1873 trapdoor chambered in .45-70. Serial number is 101493. This serial number puts this rifle being produced in 1879. Barrel is 32 5/8". Metal has a scattered light grey patina with surface oxidation. Bore could could us a good cleaning as it has sat a while. Stock shows usage and handling wear. Original Bayonet comes with the rifle and has a nice U.S. stamping.
