1862 Dated British Enfield .577 Caliber Snider Conversion Rifle

$850.00

British Enfield .577 Caliber Snider Conversion Long Rifle

Up for sale is a very nice British Enfield .577 caliber breech-loaded "long rifle"—a classic Snider Conversion with all the right details for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The lock plate is clearly stamped “1862 TOWER” with the Crown behind the hammer, placing it right near the Civil War era.

This rifle is solid throughout, featuring a tight and well-fitted conversion unit that locks up beautifully with a strong hinge. The lock mechanism functions perfectly with both half-cock and full-cock positions. Proof marks are visible on the left side of the barrel near the ladder sights.

It includes the original cleaning rod and features a consistent, attractive patina on the metal surfaces. The wood stock is in great shape—free from cracks or repairs, with only minor handling marks. Best of all, the bore is bright and shiny with crisp rifling.

A hard-to-find historic piece in excellent condition—don’t miss the chance to add this to your collection

Shipping and taxes will be estimated upon email/purchase
