Original WWII German Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Metal Visor Cap Eagle Insignia

$75.00

Offered is an original World War II German Luftwaffe Second Pattern metal visor cap eagle, featuring the distinctive flying eagle clutching a swastika, as worn by German Air Force personnel during the Third Reich period.

This attractive example features the classic Second Pattern Luftwaffe eagle design, introduced in 1936, with gracefully swept-back wings, finely detailed feathering, and a sharply defined eagle’s head. The eagle is depicted in flight, clutching a swastika in its talons.

The insignia is constructed of lightweight, silver-gray metal and retains both original wire attachment prongs on the reverse, used to secure the eagle to the front of a Luftwaffe visor cap.

The detailed feathering and three-dimensional construction give the insignia an attractive appearance. The surface retains its aged silver-gray finish with scattered patina and minor wear consistent with its period of use.

An excellent original example of WWII German Luftwaffe uniform insignia, ideal for collectors of German aviation history, military headgear, and Third Reich militaria.

Condition: Very good original condition with light surface wear, scattered oxidation, and age-related patina. Both original attachment prongs remain present on the reverse. The eagle and swastika are complete, with nicely preserved detail throughout. Please examine all photographs carefully.

Shipping included to the lower 48 contiguous United States.
