U.S. Naval Academy Parade Jacket and Grouping of Col. William D. Alexander, Son of Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander,

This Naval Academy parade jacket belonged to Colonel William Dennison Alexander, a decorated veteran of both World Wars and a Purple Heart recipient, and comes with the original museum plaque, a yearbook page signed by him, and a framed original photograph. A true museum piece, it not only represents Alexander’s distinguished military career but also honors the legacy of his father, Major General Robert Alexander, a prominent U.S. Army leader.

    U.S. Springfield model 1873 trapdoor chambered in .45-70. Serial number is 101493. This serial number puts this rifle being produced in 1879. Barrel is 32 5/8". Metal has a scattered light grey patina with surface oxidation. Bore could could us a good cleaning as it has sat a while. Stock shows usage and handling wear. Original Bayonet comes with the rifle and has a nice U.S. stamping.
