Dearest Helen
I received your letter today and was very glad to hear from you. I was wondering what happened. I thought maybe you found a new boyfriend, who was taking up all your time. I’ll spend more time with you my next furlough. I think it will be longer than my last one was. Everything is O.K. now darling. We will make everything up that we have missed the past months. If you and I really think back we have miss an awful lot.
You Know there isn’t anyone left around home now. I heard Bill Moore has left for the Merchant Marines, he will probably like it. It’s rather rough, that's what he likes. I heard that Bob was married, that would be hard to imagine. Bob just didn’t seem to be like the boy to get married. That address wasn’t quite right but I got it O.K. It took a little longer than usual.
You know Sweetheart England looks almost like home except for the buildings which is quite a bit older. I’ve been to London quite a few times. I had a lot of fun down there of course their orchestras isn’t quite as good as ours. They aren't bad though.
Well darling I’ll be seeing you before too much longer if everything goes O.K. I may be seeing you in a month or two. I have completed my work over hereand am waiting to come home. I’m working as a night runner now. Well I just came back from checking blackouts. There isn’t muchwork except you have to stay up all night. I guess thats about all for now. So long.
Lots of Love
Leon.
